Course Overview
Learn how to safely deliver high intensity support for people who require PEJ or PEG feeding including tube and stoma care, feeding regimes, administering feeds and medication and responding to common complications.
Why take this course?
Everyone has a right to good health and nutrition. But for those who require enteral feeding through a Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) tube or Percutaneous Endoscopic Jejunostomy (PEJ) tube, extra care is required to maintain safety, privacy and dignity.
This eLearning module will build your confidence in assisting people with enteral feeding, including how to manage different types of tubes, feeding regimes and care of the insertion site and tube. We’ll go through how to apply best practice, respond to common problems, and work in a way that’s person-centred and within your scope of practice.
This online course has been created with expert training content from Premium Health and forms part of our series of 7 High Intensity Daily Personal Activities eLearning modules.
