How to safely support bowel function and elimination, including suppositories and enemas.

Why take this course?

Assisting a person with effective bowel elimination requires support, encouragement and good communication. As a Support Worker, it’s important to be across the preventative measures in a person’s Plan – high fibre diet, fluid intake and regular exercise – as well as the management strategies, including oral or non-oral laxatives, reporting and recording procedures, and knowing the signs and symptoms for when a person might need a further medical review.

This online course has been created with expert training content from Premium Health and forms part of our series of 7 High Intensity Daily Personal Activities eLearning modules.
