Chris entered the sector as a support worker 10 years ago, one of his first clients was put in a prison-like facility. The injustice ignited a fire in his belly for a fairer system and drove him to study social policy. Completing a masters from the London School of Economics, Chris gained the research skills and global lens through which he dissects disability policy in Australia. He supported the roll-out of the Justice Liaison programme at the NDIA and more recently, as a non-legal NDIS Appeals Advocate, has developed deep knowledge of the NDIS legislation by bickering with, and supporting others to bicker with, lawyers at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. His infectious enthusiasm and eagerness to learn from all makes him a valued member of the team. Chris’s other talents include hide-and-seek, writing, and making people feel good about themselves.
