Biography
Lucy Markoff is a social worker with significant experience specialising in working with people with disability, children and young people and remote communities. Lucy has held executive leadership roles in the community services sector and is passionate about community development, human rights and social justice.
Lucy currently works in Geelong Victoria as a Specialist Family Violence Disability Practice Leader, improving family violence responses and systems to better support folks with disability. Lucy originates from Central Victoria and spent almost a decade in the Northern Territory working in Mparntwe (Alice Springs).
Lucy loves the outdoors, spending time with her young family and friends and walking her crazy dog, Wally. She’s also novice potter and self-proclaimed queen of wonky cups.
The SAFV Centre
The SAFV Centre (Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre) is a sexual and family violence service, providing crisis response, case management, therapeutic counselling and group programs, early intervention programs, refuge and housing support, legal services, professional training and primary prevention initiatives to people in Barwon, Wimmera and the South West, in Victoria. We service a significant client base experiencing violence who are also living with disability and provide a safe, inclusive, disability-informed family violence lens to all our work.
