Biography

Lani is one of those people who’s seen every corner of the allied health world — with decades of experience as a clinician, lecturer, researcher, supervisor and consultant. Her early work spanned health and disability settings, and a drive to connect research with real-world practice led her to complete a PhD in evidence-based practice and knowledge translation.

Lani joined the NDIA not long after the scheme launched, where she became a go-to expert on how evidence intersects with legislation and implementation — especially when it comes to Section 34 (yes, that section). She’s been immersed in everything NDIS ever since.

These days, Lani splits her time between consulting, teaching, facilitating workshops, and supporting other professionals. She’s especially passionate about helping allied health professionals become calmer, clearer and more confident in their work. She’s also an Adjunct Senior Lecturer with the University of Sydney.
