Why take this course?

Home & Living is one of the most complex areas of the NDIS. With SDA, SIL, ILO, home modifications, AT, tenancy and mainstream housing pathways all in the mix, Support Coordinators are often expected to navigate a maze with little specialist training. For participants, a poorly planned housing pathway can undermine stability, independence and long-term outcomes.

Allied Health Practitioners play a pivotal role through assessments, home modifications and AT recommendations. But too often there is a disconnect between clinical recommendations and how Support Coordinators navigate the NDIS pathways to implement them. Building shared knowledge and collaboration across these roles is essential to achieving great participant outcomes.

The Support Coordination role is set to evolve into Navigation by 2027, with strong indications that a dedicated Home & Living Navigator role will be introduced. Without upskilling now, Support Coordinators risk being left behind. This workshop, developed and delivered in partnership with a clinical practice advisor and support coordination experts with significant expertise bridges the gaps between professions. You’ll learn how to connect clinical recommendations to NDIS pathways, work more effectively across systems and prepare for the workforce shifts on the horizon.

Lydia works closely with allied health professionals and support coordinators, helping them navigate the ins and outs of housing options under the NDIS.
